Local Presence Score
Rank-weighted visibility across the grid, 0 to 100. A 1 at every point is 100; a business nobody can find is 0. Switched-off and unanswered points are left out, so the score only moves when your rankings do.
Maps Visibility searches Google Maps from a grid of points around your business and records the rank at each one, with the competitors and paid placements above you.
Trusted by 10,000+ SEOs, agencies, and brand teams
Local results change with the searcher's position. One number cannot say how far your visibility actually reaches, or where a competitor has quietly taken the corner.
Each cell is one Google Maps search run from that coordinate, on the device and in the language you chose. No sampling, no interpolation.
Switch off water, farmland, anywhere you do not serve. Those points are excluded from your score rather than counted as misses, and they cost nothing.
The centre cell sits on your address and cannot be switched off. Every other reading is measured against it.
Each run turns a grid of searches into a handful of figures you can put in a report, and the competitors and trend behind them.

The share of points where you appear in the top 10 at all. Coverage is the number that drops first when a competitor starts taking the edges of your area.
Maps and the local pack are different products with different rankings. A business can lead the pack and be invisible three streets away on the map. Both surfaces are tracked, so the gap is visible.
How much of the local results around you is paid placement. A pin with a dot had ads at that point, so you can see where a competitor is buying the ground rather than earning it.
| Competitor | Cells won | Avg rank | Pack |
|---|---|---|---|
| Grachtengordel Dental | 9 | 2.6 | #1 |
| Harbor Dental Studio You | 28 | 3.4 | #2 |
| Jordaan Smile Clinic | 6 | 4.1 | #3 |
| Westerpark Tandartsen | 3 | 6.8 | – |
Every business that outranks you anywhere, with the cells it wins, the cells it appears in, its average map rank and its pack rank. Sponsored cells are counted separately.
Local Presence Score and coverage across every run, so a schedule turns into a trend line. A run that read too little of the grid is skipped rather than plotted as a dip.
A provider having a bad day must never look like a visibility drop you never had. So a point that could not be read says so, and is left out of every score.
A point the providers could not read draws as a hollow pin and is excluded from the score, coverage and average rank. A grey pin means you genuinely were not there, which is a finding.
Each point is checked by one of two data providers. If one returns nothing it is retried on the other, so a single outage rarely costs you a reading.
A check that never came back is not billed. An incomplete run is never charged as a complete one.
A run that read less than 60% of the grid is left off the trend line and never triggers an alert, so a thin run cannot paint a collapse.
grid points × keywords + keywords A 5×5 grid on 2 keywords is 50 + 2 = 52 tokens. The form shows the exact figure before you save. The grid is the evidence. The schedule, the alerts and the share link are what turn it into a service you can deliver.
Daily, weekly or monthly schedules per campaign, with the token cost projected per month before you commit.
Be told when the business enters or leaves the top 3 across the grid, by email or in the app. Alerts only fire on runs that read enough of the grid to mean it.
One link opens a public report for the run: the grid, the scores, the competitors and the trend, with CSV and PDF export. Owner details are stripped for anyone outside your team.
Grids run from a single point up to 13×13, with a radius from 250 m to 50 km. A run costs one token per grid point per keyword, plus one token per keyword for the local pack, and the campaign form shows the exact number before you save. Switched-off points cost nothing.
A rank-weighted visibility score across the grid, from 0 to 100. Rank 1 at every active point is 100. Points you switched off, and points that could not be read, are left out rather than counted as misses.
Because they rank differently. The local pack is the three-result box on the normal results page; the map canvas is what people scroll on Google Maps. A business can be first in one and absent from the other, and the campaign shows both for the same keyword.
A hollow pin is a point that could not be read after retrying on a second provider. It is shown as unchecked rather than scored as a miss, it is excluded from every figure, and the tokens for it are refunded. A grey pin is different: the search worked and you were not in the results.
Yes. Every run has a public report link with the grid, the scores, the competitors and the trend, plus CSV and PDF export. Anyone outside your organization sees the report without owner details.
Maps Visibility is included in Pro and Team. Every workspace can open the tool and explore a read-only sample campaign before upgrading. It is in beta: the grid, the scores and the report are live, and we are still tuning the edges.
Drop a pin on the business, pick the grid, and see where you win, where you fade, and who is buying the corners.
